Day 1 - Immerse yourself in unspoilt nature !

Sarrebourg Moselle Sud offers a concentrate of invigorating nature to get back in touch with the wild life.

To have a good start in your full of nature vacation, let yourself be tempted by an unmissable experience at the Sainte-Croix Animal Park. Located in Rhodes, in a preserved natural setting, this park is a reference in France and in Europe for the presentation of European fauna and endangered species.

During your visit, you will see white, grey and black wolves but also bears and lemurs in semi-liberty. The Animal Park of Sainte Croix also offers exceptional views of the deer plain. You will be able to take part in animations such as the meals of the animals or the safari-train. The safari train will give you the opportunity to discover some species only visible by this way like wild Przewalski's horses but also bisons.

There's also Le Monde de Néo (Neo's World), one of the park's big new attractions, a 6,000m2 area where young and old alike can learn all about living things, all while having fun! In this new area you'll find Neo, a young explorer from Moselle, whose mission is to explain to children what's at stake when it comes to biodiversity !

For your visit, we advise you to bring a good pair of shoes, a headgear in case of sunshine and something to take good pictures! Several hours of visit are necessary to not miss anything, we advise you to arrive in the morning.

Day 2 - Take a deep breath of fresh air

Sarrebourg Moselle Sud is the ideal place to take a good dose of oxygen, breathe fresh air and move your body at your own pace. There is nothing better than a good little hike to get active as a family.

The circuit of “la belle roche” in Saint-Quirin is an ideal path, the course does not exceed 4 kilometers and lasts approximately 1 hour. When you reach the highest point, you will discover a magnificent view of the valley of Saint-Quirin, a village classified as one of the Most Beautiful Villages in France. On the way you will also find a curious cave where you can have a picnic with your family. Take advantage of this moment to recharge your batteries and admire the wide open spaces that surround you.

Walking, it digs! Treat yourself to a well-deserved feast at the Hostellerie du Prieuré restaurant located in the center of the village of Saint-Quirin. Chef Didier Soulier will be delighted to delight your taste buds with his 100% local seasonal cuisine.

Day 3 - Fill up on sensations

For your third day in the area, head for Center Parcs - Les Trois Forêts in Hattigny, a nature breath surrounded by a majestic 450-hectare forest, offering special moments to be experienced with the family !

Stop at the educational farm to discover all the animals that make the joy of the farmers, and discover the educational greenhouse through playful workshops around the culture of vegetables and aromatic plants.

Day 4 - Take a ride through the forest on rails

Climb aboard the Abreschviller Forest Train, a old train, located in the heart of the Vosges Massif forest. A unique experience in Moselle, to be enjoyed by the whole family. Formerly used to bring back logs from the forest, it has now become a tourist attraction offering immersive animations and shows all year long.

Consult the 2024 programme, your stay may coincide with the days when the animated trains run, so your children will be thrilled! The animated trains will bring you to far-off lands where cowboys and Indians will be on hand to amaze you with their breathtaking shows !

After your stopover in Abreschviller, head to l'Atelier Food in Saint-Quirin for a tasty meal, where Agnès and Jennifer will be serving up gourmet, homemade dishes based on fresh produce and inspiration from around the world !

And there's nothing better than a stroll through the village of Saint-Quirin, one of the most beautiful villages in France !

Day 5 - Let yourself be carried away by the rhythm of the water

In Sarrebourg Moselle Sud, water spreads out as far as the eye can see. Irrigated by ponds and canals, the area offers all the pleasures of water to recharge your batteries in a natural way.

Head for Mittersheim for an invigorating day ! Start the day with a short bike ride from the port of Mittersheim, where you can discover the trail "Biodiversity along the water", an open-air photo trail of 15km presenting the impressive nature that surrounds us, fauna and flora united through a mosaic of landscapes.

You will take the secure towpath which has been converted into a cycle path. Pedal to the last photo panel, it's worth a look! Then turn around and go back to the Lac Vert leisure center.

You don't have a bike? You can rent one at the Lac Vert leisure center.

Enjoy the rest of your day at the water's edge. The leisure center of Mittersheim offers a multitude of activities to relax: pedal boat, archery, paddle, kayak, inflatable structure. Ideal to spend a good time in family! You can also take advantage of the restaurant or the snack bar on site to eat.

Day 6 - Go from dazzle to dazzle

Take the time to visit Sarrebourg, the town centre, on your last day in the region. Don't miss a visit to the Chagall Trail, comprising the Chapelle des Cordeliers and the Musée du Pays de Sarrebourg.

At the Chapelle des Cordeliers, let yourself be dazzled by the majestic Chagall stained glass window, the largest stained glass window ever conceived by the artist, 12 meters high. Then join the Museum to discover the historical and archaeological treasures found in the area. You can involve your children in a quiz available at the Museum reception.
