Day 1 - A day at the Animal Park of Sainte-Croix

Sarrebourg Moselle Sud offers a concentrate of nature to get back in touch with the wild life.

Let you be tempted by an unmissable experience at the Animal Park of Sainte-Croix

Located in Rhodes, in a preserved natural setting, this park is a reference in France and in Europe for the presentation of European fauna and endangered species.

During your visit, you will see white, grey and black wolves but also bears, lemurs and many other emblematic species. The Animal Park of Sainte Croix also offers exceptional views of the deer plain. Throughout your visit, you can also take part in nature activities such as the animals' meal or the safari-train. As its name suggests, you can experience a mini-safari directly in the park (option in addition to the purchase of the ticket) where you will discover free-ranging species such as bison and Przewalski's horses that can only be seen through this animation.

There's also Le "Monde de Néo" (Neo's World), one of the park's big new attractions, a 6,000m2 area where young and old alike can learn all about living things, all while having fun! In this new area you'll find Neo, a young explorer from Moselle, whose mission is to explain to children what's at stake when it comes to biodiversity !

To visit the park, we advise you to bring a good pair of shoes, a hat in case of strong sun, and something to take nice pictures. Several hours of visit are necessary to not miss anything, we advise you to arrive in the morning.

Day 2 - A day in the heart of the Moselle Vosges 

To start the second day of your family nature weekend, we suggest you take a relaxing hike in Saint-Quirin, one of the most beautiful villages in France.

With your family, the circuit of the beautiful rock in Saint-Quirin is an ideal path, the route does not exceed 4 kilometers and lasts about 1 hour. When you reach the highest point, you will discover a magnificent view over the valley of Saint-Quirin. On the way you will also find a curious cave where you can have a picnic with your family. Take advantage of this moment to recharge your batteries and admire the great spaces that surround you.

After this hike, head to the restaurant "L'atelier Food" to fill your stomach. In the center of the village, you will discover a restaurant serving regional and original cuisine, all in a warm setting, enough to please young and old alike from appetizer to dessert!

Allow yourself a moment of relaxation with your family at the water's edge. The Moselle Vosges offer swimming spots in the heart of the forest. Near your stay, you can enjoy supervised swimming during the summer months either at the Walscheid water place or at the Etang de la Forge in Abreschviller.

Day 3 - A day out of time in Abreschviller

Located right next to the forestry train, the Relais du Moulin is a café-bar, restaurant and delicatessen all in one, offering gourmet cuisine prepared with local produce !

In the afternoon, travel back in time!

Climb aboard the Abreschviller forest train, a old train located in the heart of the Vosges Massif forest. A unique experience in Moselle, to be enjoyed by the whole family. Formerly used to bring back logs from the forest, it has now become a tourist attraction offering immersive animations and shows all year long.
