SAINT-BARTHÉLÉMY CHURCH
TSMS - A. Muller
The church of St-Barthélémy was built at the beginning of the 13th century. During its reconstruction in the 18th century, the remains of a Gallo-Roman building were uncovered. The presence of Merovingian burials suggests that an older church existed on this site. Of the 13th century Romanesque church, only the north tower remains. Inside the church are preserved rare Gothic stalls and woodwork by the sculptor Dominique Labroise: a virgin, probably dating from the 16th century, a copy of the medieval virgin of Rinting and part of the pulpit of D. Labroise (the wooden angel who crowned her) is in the Museum of the Pays de Sarrebourg.
