Walking in Sarrebourg Moselle Sud is not always easy, several riddles to be solved are scattered along our different walking trails, will you be able to take up the challenge ? Don’t worry, these walks are no more than 5 km long and will delight the whole family. Each walk is designed as a treasure hunt, like an explorer in the middle of authentic nature, be on the lookout for clues along the way.
The Saar circular trail in Sarrebourg – Walking time : 4 hours
The 13.3 kilometre circular trail can be completed in around 4 hours and leads through landscapes that are half urban and half wooded. It offers beautiful viewpoints, such as a marvellous panorama of the Vosges massif, where the expression "la ligne bleue des Vosges" (the blue line of the Vosges) takes on its full meaning.
Do not hesitate to enjoy the picnic areas at the Etang Lévêque for a gourmet break. You are just a few steps from the town centre of Sarrebourg, and there are plenty of shops where you can prepare your picnic basket.
The Devil's Rock circular trail - Walking time : 3 hours
From Abreschviller, you can discover the impressive ‘Devil's Rock’ on this circular walk. At the foot of this huge rock, you can observe a representation of the devil carved into the pink sandstone. On this circular route, you will also discover the Grotte Saint Léon, the deepest cave in the Vosges, and the 13th century Léon IX chapel in Walscheid.

Explore on two wheels !
Get on your bikes and ride through the area full swing, free as a bird. Take the cycle track from the Etang Lévêque in Sarrebourg, go towards the town of Imling and then Hesse, enjoy the natural scenery and keep your eyes open… Do not miss the canal bridge of the forge just above your heads, an impressive structure which spans the Sarre river. End your journey in Troisfontaines where you can discover the 2CV car Museum, which houses 80 different models of this legendary French car.

Before turning back to Sarrebourg, treat yourself to a well-deserved break! Just a stone's throw from the Musée de la 2CV is the Restaurant des Vosges, where you can sample regional specialities prepared by the owner!
All along the journey, you will ride on the cycle track dedicated to non-motorised users, a 30 km round trip is awaiting you and unforgettable memories as a reward !

Travel back in time !
Come aboard the Abreschviller forest train, an old train located in the middle of the forest in the Vosges mountains. A unique experience in Moselle to be enjoyed by the whole family. Once used to transport logs from the forest, it has now become a tourist attraction offering immersive shows and activities throughout the year.
