Stock pond on the Langatte side
Leaving from the Auberge du Stock, discover the Langatte circular and contemplate a large part of the Etang du Stock! Enjoy a peaceful, pleasant and easy walk between water and forest! The path takes you along the banks of the Canal de la Sarre. It ends at the dyke, where you'll come across an imposing building known as the "maison forte" (fortified house), which used to shelter people in arms during troubled times.
Take advantage of the facilities available at the Langatte leisure centre to get into the water ! Supervised swimming, pedalos and canoes for hire, waterslides... an ideal place to enjoy the sunny days on holiday...
The étang du Stock also has a fishing area, so grab your rods and start sniffing out the fish !
Mittersheim pond
Explore the area around Lac Vert by following the "Circulaire de la Cornée d'Argent" from the Port of Mittersheim ! Between land and water, for sport or relaxation, take a soothing and rejuvenating break in this authentic landscape !
Try out the Mitt'Parc water trail at the Lac Vert leisure park, which offers slides, inclines and balance courses for young and old alike.
On foot or by bike, discover the photo trail " la Biodiversité au fil de l'Oh", an open-air exhibition along the Canal de la Sarre ! From Mittersheim to Etang du Stock, contemplate the richness and diversity of our natural heritage along the water! Observe the exceptional biological mosaic formed by the living world around us !
Walscheid pond
For a relaxing break in the heart of nature, head for the Walscheid lake, a little hidden gem in our region...
From this charming site, follow a rural route that leads to the Gallo-Roman cemetery. There's a sign explaining that the cemetery is a collection of "house stelae" found on the heights of the village.
In summer, you can take advantage of the supervised swimming on the lake, so don't hesitate to immerse yourself in this great natural bath in the heart of the Moselle forest !
